How to couple parametric sweeps between steady and transient studies?

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

QUESTION 1: I have three studies in my problem: first is steady and the next two are time dependent. I want to use the solution from the first study as the initial condition for the second one and the solution from the second study as the initial condition for the third one.

I have coupled my models by modifying the solver configurations. ( under solver- dependent variables- initial values for variables solved for- solution- solver 1/solver 2)

Are these settings correct and sufficient for the kind of solution I am looking for?

QUESTION 2: Now, I want to see the effect of changing a variable 'k' on my final solution. I am varying the same values of 'k' in all three studies by using parametric sweep.

How do I couple the parametric sweeps in my studies?

Thanks for your help.

Hi

which version atre you using ?

normally if you define a single study and you add all three solver nodes one after the other, and use a default solver sequence, then COMSOl will link the three, and set up the "dependent variable conditions accordingly. At least for the latest V4 version

Good luck
