setting-up p-polarized light

I am trying to simulate gold nanosphere scattering by using p-polarized light. I used "Scatterer on Substrate" example provided by COMSOL, and tried to modify the unpolarized light to p-polarized light (from z to -z) by changing the electric field magnitude.

I saw this great tutorial which guides us through how to modify the setting, but I did not get the results as desired. Since that this example only provide the input settings for port 1(excitation port), what should the input settings be for port 2 (non-excitation port)?
