Create Plane through Partial Geometry

Hi,

I'm trying to create a plane to create a surface average of current density.

A surface layer can only do the top and bottom layer, and a cut plane also includes the air domain beyond the sample, which I don't want.

How can I create a plane that only includes the sample, but can be placed at any depth within the sample? Please see images for explanation.

I hope this is clear, thank you!

Hi Felix,

There's an old thread for that.

Best,

Jeff
