Symmetric particle gives asymmetric far field scattering

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

As a preliminary to future work on asymmetric particles I've tried to recreate tutorial 12415 as a full 3D problem with no simplifying symmetries. The results for the near field E-field look reasonable and match the tutorial results. However, the far field results look wrong: the far field intensity in all three principle planes is highly asymmetric. I've tried different solvers and meshes, but they all give the same results. I've attached the model, can anyone see where I've gone wrong?

Thanks.
