Step function_solid mechanics

Hello

I need to define a step function in which for poitive solid.eYY the magniute is max (solid.epe+solid.mises/solid.E)-A and for negative values of that strain (solid.epe+solid.mises/solid.E)-B as it is obvious, solid.mises and solid.epe are two variables, E,A,B are constant. How can I do this? it seems in step function we should use only constant values for the related fileds, means "location, from and to".
