The below post is related to an archived discussion

Hello,

I am simulating the acoustic behaviour of piezoelectric transducers and trying to simulate a 3D model of the example file (https://www.comsol.com/model/piezoacoustic-transducer-1477). I would need the same model in 3D because I will be adding a 3D lens design later on. However, I cannot seem to see a 'symmetry' option in 3D electrostatics. Is there a way to introduce acheive this?

Thanks, Akki.

Hello Akshayaa,

You can use the Zero Charge boundary condition to achieve symmetry w.r.t. a plane.

Best,

Jeff
