Release rays with wavelengths from interpolated spectrum

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

I am currently trying to simulate how rays propagate in a certain medium. Specifically, in a scintillator with a given emission spectrum. Since, I have the emission spectrum given, I wanted to uniformally release rays with different wavelengths sampled from the emission spectrum. However, I have only found the wavelength release options for polychromatic releases to be "None", "Uniform", "Lognormal" and "List of Values". As far as I understand it none of these samples the wavelength randomly from a custom function.

Is there any possibility I can implement what I described?

Cheers

PS: The "List of values" function always takes the same wavelengths for each release which I don't want.
