Ray optics: How to calculate the average light intensity and average path length in a volume of water?

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Dear reader,

I am new to Comsol Multiphysics and want to do a simple model with ray optics where UV light illuminates the volume of water contained in the petri dish. How can I measure the average energy, light intensity or average pathlength of the light which goes through the volume of water? I was trying to use the accumulator but do not know how to extract the result by volume.

Any comment is appreciated. Thank you very much.

Best

Quyet
