How to simulate Insertion of Needle into Tissue for Buckling Study

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I am new to COMSOL, I have to simulate buckling of my needle into the tissue. I have needle design and tissue model ready. How to I make the needle move at a rate of 0.1 mm/s into the tissue?

I tried the linear buckling mode with fixed boundary and force conditions. I don't know how to simulate the next step of making it move into the tissue. Do I use a moving mesh or some other feature?
