Damping ratios are added to a system that is not decoupled by the given eigenvectors

Hi everyone, I run a frequency domain modal analysis , based on a eigenvalue study which returned to be 20 eigen modes. What I did is give a single 0.02 damping ratio( I just use one damping ratio) in the modal solver and there is a warning after running stated 'Damping ratios are added to a system that is not decoupled by the given eigenvectors'. Can some one help me explain it cuz it seems to be difficult finding explanation?
