simulation of a secondary magnetic field around a pipe due to induction of magnetic field into the ground

Hello,

As a newbie in COMSOL, I need to design a model in which, the functionality of Cable Avoidance Tool (CAT) and magnetic field response of a buried metallic pipe can be demonstrated (in the presence of the Earth's magnetic field).

What I am looking for is to measure the value of a secondary magnetic field around a metallic pipe due to induction of an initial magnetic field into the ground using CAT device (externally applied field). It can be assume that underground pipe is long and the surrounding soil is uniform.

Any help and suggestions is highly appreciated.

Regards
