How to model a beam of light in COMSOL software?

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

I am using scattering boundary condition to make a EM source and the kdir I have given along X direction (i.e. -ewfd.nx). It is working when the geometry size is few micrometer. But when I am making the geometry in milimeter dimension, then the light is not at all propagating in the desire direction. I guess, for both the geometry the EM wave should propagate till right. Please help me regarding that. I am attaching both the images with this.

Thank You
