How to simlulate cartridge heaters in an instrument

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I'm try to solve a solid heat transfer problem with cartridge heaters in an instrument. To simulate the cartridge heaters I choose the boundary of cylinders as a heat source. The heating power of the cartridge heaters is 200 W and so I'm take the boundary heat source for this value. Is this a right way to get meaningful results?

Thanks a lot for help.
