The multi-component Maxwell-Stefan equations (The Transport of Concentrated Species interface in COMSOL) can be formulated in the time domain and are hence possible to use for dynamic simulations.
Note that you typically also need to couple them to Navier-Stokes, Brinkman or the Darcy equation for to model the velocity and pressure propagation of the fluid. The coupled system can also be solved in the time-domain.
