Diode / Potential distribution

I have such task:
There is a diode (see attached file)
Initial data:
- the current (I) flows through the diode
- there is an initial voltage (U0) between electrodes in the diode
I have already got a field of the diode voltage in the result of my calculation. There is a potential distribution on the electrodes' surface (for a example, wa - the potential for anode, wc - the potential for cathode). It is needed to set the current density on the surface of cathode, which depends on the potential distribution on the electrode surface (j = j(wk)).
I don't know how a variable for the potential of the electrode surface could be set and then i want use this variable for setting the current density.
Please could you assist me. I really need to find a solution for this problem. I will be grateful for any advices, recomendations, etc. Thanks in advance.
