How to output the parameters of meterials(such as, water)

Dear all,

During my setup the material section, sometimes, I want to output the parameters of the material, and modify them, then re-input the material section. How can I realize it?

If I want to define a material by myself, what kind of parameters do I need to determine?
Any model can I copy?
