Boundary mode analysis of asymmetric waveguide

Hello I am working on Silicon based polarisation rotator which is basically a coupler.The structure is asymmetric waveguide comprise of silicon slot and strip waveguide.Now i am facing difficulty in defining boundary mode conditions and defining ports i should use to give input (2 or 3).
