Deformed surface area calculation

Is there is any way to calculate the surface area of build geometry after deformation (for example, the change in surface area in piezoelectric material after simulation).

Hello,

You could use the "Coupling operator">"Integration" in "Definitions" node using as frame "Spatial (x,y,z)". Then in the study node, you should select "Include geometrical non-linearities". To evaluate the area, use the "Derived values" node in "Results" then use "Global evaluation" and set in "Expression": intop1(1)

I hope this helps.

For more details, please contact COMSOL technical support.
