"Mode Phase" in Periodic Port?

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I want to know how we should set a right value for "Mode Phase" parameter (circled in the attached picture) when defining a periodic port in analysing a periodic structure?

I have a problem that is I feel one of the ports that I define in my simulation is not matched so I see standing waves in the second side of my simulation set up. I was wondering if this probem arises due to "Mode Phase" in the port definition.

Any help would be really appreciated.

Hi Mohammad,

In your picture, it seems that before doing the Frequency Domain step, you did not put a Boundary Mode Analysis. I don't know if it helps, but it should at least ensure that comsol finds out how to send to mode.

Best,

François
