A possible solution to "mass matrix is zero" error

Hi all,

For those who get this error, one possible cause is that the mesh is only performed at the surface of the structure. A quick way to check is to change the mesh to "Physic-controlled" to see if it runs without error. If so, the problem can be solved with "User-controlled" mesh by "Swept" the region, which can be found by right clicking the mesh tab. Please see "Flow Through a Pipe Elbow" in COMSOL application library for more details about sweeping mesh in 3D. Hope it helps.

Best,

Zhetao
