Mapping the Distribution of Wear Debris Particles using Particle Tracking in Multiphysics

Hi all,

I am designing a sleeve which will encase two cylinders rubbing their planar surfaces against each other to simulate wear (please see the attached diagram). The sleeve is being designed to capture as many wear debris particles in a given target region.

I am trying to test different sleeve shapes in Comsol Multiphysics using the particle tracing module (Note: I don't have access to the CFD module). I would like to 3D model the above situation such that particles are emitted from the circumference of the contact surface with random velocity and the points at which the particles impact the sleeve and their corresponding impact forces are recorded on a map of the sleeve (gravity also acts). I can then examine a map of the impact points to determine which sleeve shape is most effective at capturing the particles in the target region.

Would anyone be kind enough to advise me on how I may be able to achieve this?
