Hello, I am working in a microfluidic device to study inertial flow of microparticles and using comsol to simulate the behavior. I used the particle tracing module in Comsol however i dont see any inertial lift force. I need to add the Inertial lift esp Saffman Force to the module to study the particle behavior. Is there any module which mimics the physics of Saffman force in Comsol? Help in this will be appreciated. Ahmed

Hi Syed, the Saffman Force was introduced in version 5.3. See the Lift Force section here: https://www.comsol.com/release/5.3/particle-tracing-module

I recommend updating to the latest version of COMSOL Multiphysics (V5.3a).
