Hello I'm trying to solve the unit problem when simulating a graded index fiber. In this application example: http://cn.comsol.com/model/fiber-simulator-30421 for the GIF part, to describe the change in refractive index as a function of radius, we need to define the variable r. "r=sqrt(x^2+y^2) (m)". In the geometry, the unit is μm. But when define r as a variable, the default unit is m. Than the core index is described as "(sqrt(mat3.n(wl)^2+(0.2/0.95)^2)-mat3.n(wl))(1-(r/(25[um]))^2)+mat3.n(wl)". Is this correct? Thank you for reading!
