convert x,y,z coordinates file from .xls -> .txt -> .mphtxt in order to be imported into COMSOL 4.0?

Hi people

I have several excel sheets with x,y,z coordinates, do I have to firstly convert them into .txt and then to .mphtxt format in order to be imported into COMSOL 4.0, to generate the very basic geometry/model? How to do it?
