Changing the physics applied after time frame

Hello all,

I am running COMSOL 4.2, with the AC/DC and the Heat transfer modules. I have built a model that simulates the temperature change caused by joule heating in an electrochemical cell. However, the simulation I need to run now involves an additional heat source that does not activate until 1 hour into the simulation. Is this a process I can program into the simulation?

Thank You

Say your heat source is Q then you can enter Q*(t>1[h]).

This simple way has a jump discontinuity and you may want to replace it
with a smoothed step function.
