I use FSI toolbox for modelling of vocal fold vibrations.
The model is 2D consisting of a fluid domain (glottal channel) and a very compliant solid domain (vocal fold) (picture attached). How can I introduce an offset (of about 1E-3mm) so that the gap between the wall (symmetry boundary, i. e. shear stress vanishes) bounding the fluid domain and solid domain does not go to zero resulting in collapsing mesh. I tried to define contact but it did not work. Currently I setup the geometry by using the function "Form Union" in analogous way as within the tutorial on FSI (the tutorial an contact modelling with MEMS toolbox suggests to setup the geometry with "Form Assembly").
Many thanks in advance
Alexander
