calculation of current of metal plate_infinite element domain

Hi,

We have one question about calculation of current of metal plate.

Attached model uses Magnetic fields and is built in 5.2a version.
One layer of infinite element domain is defined around the outside of the air domain.

Unfortunately, the converged solution cannot be achieved. The message always shows that 32% progress and the computation cannot go further.

On the other hand, the solution will be done if there is no infinite element domain.
Does that mean we could not use infinite element domain in this case?

Thank you very much.

Jing Wang,

the infinite element domain has to cover the end faces too. The documentation shows the geometry examples.

Cheers
Edgar
