Strain as an output of Hygroscopic Swelling modelling

I have a question and I appreciate your help in this regard. In simulation of Hygroscopic Swelling (deformation of material due to moisture absorption), we enter formulation for moisture related strain (EM) in the software. What is the output of software for strain, the total strain (E) or elastic strain (EE)? (EE=E-EM) or, should we compute elastic strain (EE) after making extra calculation on the outputs of software?

Hi,

You can choose which to present. Both total (solid.eXX or solid.el11) and elastic strains (solid.eel11) are available in the plot menus.

Regards,
Henrik
