Hello Perry,
Make sure that you have set up points in the geometry at the locations where ou want to apply the two forces.
The documentation contains many resources you can draw upon to learn how to use the graphical user interface. In particular, the manuals for the Structural Mechancis Module include many tutorials - See in particular its Applications Library and Verification manual. All manuals are accessed through File > Help > Documentation.
Note that fixing two points is not sufficient to make the problem well posed: the rigid body rotation about the line connecting the two points remains unconstrained. So you'll need to reconsider the boundary conditions.
