phase function definition difference between Gaussian beam brewster angle model and comsol blog

I have recently noticed that the phase function in one of the comsol examples, which is Gaussian beam incident at brewster angle, (www.comsol.com/model/gaussian-beam-incident-at-the-brewster-angle-17093) is defined differently from one comsol blog:

In brewster angle example, the phase of the first wave in the air domain is defined as k1x_air*x+k1y_air*y, and the phase of the first wave in the glass domain is defined as k1x_glass*x+k1y_glass*y, which is quite different from the definition shown in that blog, particularly for glass domain. I understand that for brewster angle example, there is an oblique incidence and in this case we need to consider the phase in y direction. However, what I do not understand is that why the definiton of the phase for glass domain in brewster angle example did not consider the contribution from the previous air domain, as mentioned by the blog: phi(r)=k0*(thickness_air domain+ n_glass*(x-air_glass boundary).
