how to solve oscillation of species concentration due to the mobility variation with in different regions?

I have been using the transport of diluted species model (migration in electric field) simulating the time evolution of field assisted migration of charges.

when I use different mobility/diffusion coefficient in different region, or set as concentration related function, like mu(c1), there are serious oscillation of concentration and large negative concentration, I tried more smooth functions and adaptive mesh, results doesn't improve much.

does anyone have more efficient method?
