Heat transfer across a contact pair

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hello,

I am working on a Heat transfer/structural mechanics problem. I need to study thermal expansion coupled with friction across a boundary of two dissimilar materials. There are two metal plates and heat is applied on the outer surface of one plate (Temperature boundary condition). The other plate should get hotter due to conduction.
In my model, there seems to be no heat transfer by conduction, across the boundary even though I have assigned the continuity boundary condition. The heat transfer is zero whenever I create a contact pair. A simple model is attached. Please let me know if someone has a solution to this issue.
