Assembling different imported solidworks files into COMSOL

Hi,
Wondering how we are able to assemble different imported parts in COMSOL in a fashionable manner?

Thanks

Hi

import them one by one, you can also get them grouped this way, then apply globally move or rotations to "assemble" them. But COMSOL does not have all the fancy concurrent lines, planes, ... facilities as in most CAD software, therefore I mostly assembly ma "assemblies" in the CAD and import the files already coherently assembled.

Its essential for the modeling with COMSOL that the geometrical objects are correctly aligned such that the Volumes have correct common surfaces between the different volumes Objects, or respectively in 2D that the surfaces have correct common (overlapping) lines where they intersect

It's rather easy to delete objects or entities once a geometrical model has been imported, so you may build up different versions without saving N CAD files.

One important point, specially for "newcomers", COMSOL "Assembly" mode has nothing to do with traditional CAD object assembly, the COMSOL Unite or Assembly mode has to do how COMSOL analyses the geometry Objects and combine them into FEM geometric Entities, and how it handles adjacent Boundaries. Check the doc carefully, it's worth to read it a couple of times too ;)

Thank you for your response. I will definitely be trying it and getting back with you if I need more help with it.
Another question I have is to do with induction heating. Is there any way to simulate induction without having the actual module to do so? Like through the use of Joule heating or something else?
