Importing electric potential distribution for piezoelectric simulation

Please login with a confirmed email address before reporting spam

Hi,

I'm doing a simple piezoelectric simulation of a semiconductor device. However, rather than solve for the electric potential in COMSOL, I have used another software to compute the electric potential distribution. I would like to use COMSOL to compute the electric field and the stresses and strains using the piezoelectric interface.

Could someone help advise me on the simplest way to:

1. Import the electric potential distribution from my other software
2. Calculate the electric field in COMSOL
3. Calculate the mechanical solution for this electric field distribution

I can easily find the potential V at any point (x,y,z) from my other software as I have already imported the data into MATLAB. I'm experienced with MATLAB and have the LiveLink interface.

Thanks,
Kevin
