Modeling and Simulation of Electrodeposition Cells - Archived
Electrodeposition processes in the manufacturing of electronics can often suffer from uneven coatings that result in poor performance and quality. This may also lead to excessive scrapping of material. The modeling and simulation (M&S) functionality in the Electrodeposition Module, an add-on to COMSOL Multiphysics, can help you in understanding and designing electrodeposition processes that increase precision and quality and minimize the waste of material.
The Electrodeposition Module enables you to create models for accurate predictions of the current density distribution and the coating thickness on electrodes with complex geometries. These models describe potential and current distribution, ion transport, electrode kinetics and thermodynamics, and the impact of chemical reactions and fluid flow in a cell.
Join us in this webinar to learn how the M&S capabilities of COMSOL can be used to understand and design electrodeposition processes.
